THE WINDOW – SHORT STORY

The objective of this project was to storyboard an event from life and conclude with a meaningful message. This could be comedic, informative, or simply artistic, arguably evoking an emotion isn’t enough if not backed up with a purpose. I went for a story that could be slightly unusual, but it shows how unpredictable life can be, especially as a child. Navigating the world’s dangers, risks, and joys that most people would not think twice about in their day-to-day life.

The illustrations are done in Adobe Illustrator, then animated using After Effects. Using motion principles, sound design, and my own narration were all first times to create a compelling short story. That has given me a new appreciation for motion design and the tools to implement in my career.
